Quintessentially 60s - or possibly 70s - clumpy gold high heeled shoes have a small platform, peep toes and cross-over detailing. The style is called 'Stardust'...isn't that charming?
They were sold from Dolcis ('the world of fashion at your feet'), one of the big high street chain of shoe shops owned by the British Shoe Corporation, which included Trueform, Mansfield and Freeman Hardy Willis; an originisation which was at its height during the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Marked a size 6½ B UK (US 9, European 40) they measure approximately, length of foot: 9 ½ inches/24 cms; width across sole: 2 ¾ inches/7 cms; heel height: 4 inches/10 cms; wedge sole: 1 inch (1.5 cms). My feeling is that they are on the narrow side, but this may be at least partly due to the heel height.
