Genuine 1960s, but not genuine snakeskin, these are THE boots of the 1960s! REaching to the knee, they have a rounded toe, and the typical 60s low, square, heel. size 6 or 7
I think they are made from PVC: certainly something soft and pliable anyway - which is at least one reason why they are still around, in such good nick, today!
They have been stored less than thoughtfully, I think; there are places on both boots where the pattern has faded or worn away, leaving a white stripe; but this could be seen as part of the pattern (in fact, I thought it was, at first).
They are lined, of course, and have no labels, not even the size...but they fit me (size 6) and also apparently my friend, too (although she takes a size larger!). They hold the food nicely, which may be the secret!
Lovely, wearable, and probably unique, there is little sign of use apart from that mentioned above; the zips are excellent, the soles and heels have plenty of wear. The only fault I can find is a small, pink-ish mark on the right boot, near the zip.
Approximate measurements: heel height: 1 ¾ ins (4.5 cms); length, measured from sole of foot at back of leg: 16 ins (40.5 cms); calf, 13 ins (33 cms) at widest point: foot length, measured on inner sock:10 ½ ins (25.5 cms). Measurements given for guidance only, and in good faith.
